Doughnut & Coffee #1: Climate-friendly living [IN GERMAN] (Past)

Digging into a ground-breaking new report on societal and economic transformation and the link to Doughnut Economics.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT IS IN GERMAN.

The Doughnut Coalition Vienna aims to spread the ideas of Doughnut Economics in Vienna and Austria in order to help inspire and drive change.

Doughnut & Coffee is a monthly hybrid event where we will discuss a different topic that relates to Doughnut Economics in Austria. We want to put the "Do" into doughnut and find out about solutions that exist now, or could exist in future, and what our coalition might be able to do to help implement them.

For our inaugural event we are delighted to welcome Ernest Aigner, lead co-author of a new Special Report by the Austrian Panel on Climate Change (APCC): "Structures for climate-friendly living". Based on the work of 180 scientists analysing more than 2,000 papers, the report considers the conditions that are necessary to make it possible for everyone to live in a climate-friendly and socially just way, including changes we could make to our laws, governance structures, finance and economic systems.

Dr Aigner will give us a birds-eye view of the report's main findings and will answer questions from participants live and online. Afterwards there will be a chance for informal networking.

We have a limited number of places to join us live for actual (organic, low-sugar!) Dougnuts and Coffee in the new Climate Lab in the 9th District (Ubahn: Spittelau). For details of how to sign-up both for the live event or to join us over Zoom, please follow the Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/doughnut-coffee-tickets-575989639517
