Doughnut Economics About DEAL DEAL Team Careers FAQ Principles & Guidelines Wider Movement Contact UsI am a mechanical engineer and university lecturer. I have 23 years of industrial experience researching, developing and designing critical engineering systems in the energy, aerospace, nuclear and marine industries. I also have 18 years of experience lecturing in engineering at university.
I have worked on projects that include development of equipment and solutions for wind and solar farms, fuel cell power systems, gas turbines, nuclear power stations, aeroplane engines, oil rigs,
large ships and submarines. In my work I have developed and used systems analysis and statistical methods to solve complex technical problems.
My passions include innovation in technology to support sustainable development. I believe that learning and
mastering STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are key to our
future prosperity.
I am a founding member of Radiant Consultancy Ltd https://radiant-consult.com/ which provides technical expertise and solutions for the transition to sustainable, reliable, secure and
universal supply of energy systems.
I am inspired by the ideas of Kate Raworth in her book Doughnut Economics: Seven Ways to Think Like a 21st-Century Economist.
The need for sustainable living within the means that the planet provides are at the centre of his development agenda. I have experience in a systems approach required to understand the interdependencies that exist in the complex world.
